Every small business has a story.. Welcome to ours

Since as far back as i can remember I've been around woodworking. As a young kid I'd be up at the crack of dawn excited to get to go to work with my dad. We'd get to hang out while he worked on building and designing cabinets. As he was sending saw dust through the air I'd be finding scraps turning them into small boxes, swords and other things my imagination could think of. They weren't anything special but the memories we created sure were.

My father (Jeff Smith) taught me more then i ever realized and did more for me then i ever acknowledged.

As a young adult i ended up down a different main carrier path and on occasion did side work with my dad and brother. Always regretting not going to work with my dad full time. Unfortunately in 2022 my dad unexpectedly passed away, much too young. His wood working and family were his legacy. This company is one of my ways of trying to continue that legacy. Turning scraps into whatever i can think of just like i did along side my dad as a kid. Only now my projects actually look good and sadly my pops isn't here to see it. Always remember life is shorter then we think.

Another pastime of ours was playing video games together and his gammer tag was always The WoodButcher. And so the inspiration for our company was found and in 2023 i started SMALLTOWN WOODBUTCHER.

Growing our legacy
